The password is exclusivity. Jetex recently announced that a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed with AERIA airport management company to be the exclusive FBO operator and manager of newly built FBO in Abidjan, the economic capital of the Ivory Coast.

“We chose Abidjan because it is an economic powerhouse for West Africa. It’s a very urbanized and industrial city,” said Jetex President (Europe) Salem Youssef. “We are excited to offer VIP service and become the first to do so in the region. We’re looking forward to welcoming passengers at our new FBO very soon.”

In addition, Jetex will also be opening a new FBO adjacent to the main terminal at Dublin Airport in Ireland. “Ireland is preparing for a surge in air traffic in the coming years,” said Adel Mardini, Jetex CEO and President. “We’re excited to expand our FBO network to include Dublin.” Adel Mardini also gave an exclusive interview to Good Style Magazine, going into details about the universe of private aviation.

Can you briefly illustrate the philosophy and mission of your company? On which business model?

Jetex is more than a private flight support company. We’re also a luxury travel brand. Our mission is to revolutionize private jet travel by making every step of the journey—from the terminal to the flight and through the destination—faster, easier, and more pleasurable. We like to say, we complete the journey.

What are the advantages of using a jet? How does Jetex differ from other companies?

The use of private jets has so many advantages. Jets can get you to destinations where commercial aircraft don’t go. People who travel by jet avoid the crowded terminals and security lines of commercial terminals. So the experience is much more relaxed and enjoyable. It often requires less planning than does flying commercial so it’s good for people who like to just pack and go. You get to travel on your own schedule. Jetex goes beyond providing a service. We want to elevate the experience. Make travelling even better than you thought it could be.

What is your target audience? Who is your typical customer?

Our target audience is charter companies, jet management companies and anyone who cares about travelling well.

How important is research and development for this sector?

It’s important to know what technology is available to improve the travel experience. Jetex is the first aviation company in the region to commit to infrastructure to support electric aircraft, because we see electric propelled aircraft having a place in the future of aviation.
