Monte-Carlo Fashion Week (MCFW) – a fashion event full of glamor and allure – is back. This extraordinary opportunity to experience the Principality’s elegant atmosphere will be held May 15 to 19. The exclusive and elite Fashion Awards Ceremony will lift the curtain on Fashion Week, the opening to an edition that can’t be missed, full of special events and guests. An honorable mention goes to Alberta Ferretti who is going to present the Cruise 2020 collection on May 18, 2019 and will receive the Monte-Carlo Fashion Award – Made in Italy. An emblem of elegant craftsmanship, Alberta Ferretti will surely charm at Monte-Carlo with a show of sophistication and refinement.
Like with Spring- Summer 2019, a distinctive feature in her collections is the delicate, natural way she illustrates a contemporary feminine beauty through the complexity of women who move between the rhythms of everyday life. “In this collection, I wanted to assemble a new feminine capability that pushes women to assert a determined personality but with a style of innocence, delicacy, calmness, and dreams. This way, I was able to create a journey that describes physical adventures with an inner journey. It leads to reflection and the joy of living and pushes women towards a better understanding of themselves and the world,” says Alberta Ferretti.
A new silhouette designed with fluctuating volumes and forms frees the body; an abstract contemporary elaboration of feminine sensitivity is found in long garments built as safari jackets but with a parachute effect. Sharp lines are lost in slip dresses in crochet embroidered satin or with chiffon inserts, and loose chiffon shirts with crochet embroidery or San Gallo lace. Enlivened by an innate sense of aesthetics, an undeniable talent for fashion and great resourcefulness and determination, Monte-Carlo and Monte-Carlo Fashion Week are ready to welcome the Italian designer, an emblem of Made in Italy throughout the world.
