Oasis 135’ – who is behind all of this innovation? What are the
innovative aspects of this shipbuilding?
Oasis 135’ is a Benetti project developed in cooperation with the British design studio RWD. Typically, all the boats are either explorer, displacement or fast yachts and in none of them you are really in contact with water, as in the 50/60/70-meter range where the beach area is usually at the Lower Deck level. What we have done on the Oasis 135’, one of its major features, was to connect the beach area with the Main Deck with just 2 steps and that now is directly in contact with the water. We have also added 2 folding terraces in order to increase the volume available, thus creating a large sea-level terrace. The idea was to recreate the same feelings you get at a villa on the seaside, where you have a pool and after some steps you can jump in the water. The Main Deck is usually a formal or lounge area, on Oasis 135’, instead, we transformed it into a more informal area: the saloon windows, the around window and the side windows, open up completely, so to create an in-out area. Another fantastic feature is the huge master suite: on a yacht almost 41 meters long, the master suite has the surface of 46/47 square meters, with study, lounge area, bed area, two separate dressings and two separate bathrooms. It’s a real “master”, with the option of the private balcony. The Upper Deck salon is also quite peculiar, since there aren’t external stairs and it has no external connection with the other decks. Our purpose was to create an internal path so to keep the more formal areas separated from those dedicated to the recreational time. On top of that, the integrated bridge on the wheelhouse is something unique and new for the yachting industry. With a full-hide window and the control console on your side, like in a Star Trek movie, you can control the yacht from your helm station.
Roberto Corno, Benetti Sales Director
Oasis 135 was designed in collaboration with the English architectural studio RWD. Who is it geared towards?
We wanted to offer something unique, new, unlikely anything else already on the market, in order to create new opportunities and meet the shipowners’ evolving wishes. Oasis 135’ is a yacht for everybody, designed for informal owners for every age. We have managed to develop an eclectic layout for this model, so that its on board spaces could be easily rearranged and customized to meet the owner’s desires, whether it is a young owner that would like to have large spaces dedicated to the guests’ fun and entertainment, or a more mature owner who asks for plenty of space on board for his family. At the same time Oasis 135’ designer created something very futuristic in terms of layout and style. The goal was to enable owner and guests to always be in constant contact with the surrounding environment, to fully enjoy every moment on board with partners and friends, children or grandchildren no matter the age.
