ICONIC AUTOMOTIVE | Laura Scatena
Audi RS 5 Coupé, the first Audi Sport model with new RS design characterized by its high performance and elegant aesthetic, is part of a sophisticated sporty line, a reference to the historic Audi 90 Quattro IMSA GTO race car. Fine Nappa leather with contrast diamond stitching, and a three-spoke multifunction flat bottom RS leather steering wheel all enhance its inimitable performance.
The dynamic cabin is accentuated by contrasting red nuances on the steering wheel, gear stick and knee pads in Alcantara, in addition to seat belts and mats with red contour and the unique RS emblem; Audi Sport offers Sonoma green metallic exclusively for the RS 5 Coupé bodywork. This dashing model sits much lower than standard ones, and highlights include RS sport suspension with Dynamic Ride Control (DRC), ceramic brakes, and dynamic steering wheel with specific RS calibration, for a style that can be customized in individual, dynamic, or comfort driving modes thanks to the Audi drive select standard system. 4,723 millimeters long, the new Audi RS 5 Coupé unveils its flagship: the new 2.9 TFSI biturbo engine produces 331 kW (450 CV) and delivers 600 Nm (442.5 lb-ft) or torque.

Standard four-wheel drive is an additional plus of the model. This top of the line model in the A5 family goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds, and can reach a maximum speed of 280 km/h with the Dynamic package.
The B-cycle combustion process with direct central injection brings efficiency to new levels among the RS models. In terms of European driving standards, the twin-turbo V6 consumes only 8.7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers (27.0 US mpg), which corresponds to

197 grams of CO2 per kilometer (317.0 g/mi). This is a 17% increase in efficiency compared to the previous model. It is zippy, sleek, and just 1,655 kilograms – 60 kg less than before, available with a bare carbon-fiber roof. The front axle features innovative five-link design, while a five-link suspension at the rear replaces the trapezoidal arms used in the previous model, for sporty and agile driving in perfect comfort.
