ICONIC AUTOMOTIVE | Autore Delfina Remi
Puristic, expressive, timeless: these are the three characteristics that distinguish any Porsche. And this Porsche in particular carries the DNA into a new automotive era. The Taycan has been given a legacy that is expressed through its performance. Its state-of-the-art traction technology guarantees a performance that is reproducible and without drop: the two permanent magnet synchronous motors (PSMs) of the Taycan Turbo S reach a maximum power of 560 kW (761 CV), and thanks to this it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/hour with Launch Control in just 2.8 seconds. It is available with two types of batteries, a standard 79.2 kWh unit and an optional 93.4 kWh unit.
The Turbo models, Taycan 4S, has all-wheel drive thanks to two synchronous engines, one for each axle. There is also a two-speed transmission on the rear axle and standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) with air suspension. The braking system is composed of 360 mm discs with 6-piston calipers for the front wheels and 358 mm with 4 pistons for the rear ones (the discs for the Turbo are 415 mm and 365 mm with 10 and 4 pistons). With a sporty drive, the interior design
features partial-leather seats that are adjustable to eight positions, a keyless entry, and interior lighting. Even in terms of charging time and autonomy, the Taycan proves to live up to a purebred Porsche in a simple way, without changing your daily habits. Driving a Porsche Taycan is a unique experience. And to make it even more personal, you can access all the information about the car in real time using voice commands or smartphones, inside or outside the Porsche. It offers a real digital co-pilot. The Taycan 4S will arrive in dealerships starting in spring 2020, with a recommended price of $103,800 for the basic 79.2 kWh battery and $110,380 for the optional 93.4 kWh battery: in Italy the Taycan 4S has prices starting from 109,115 Euros.
