It is the final countdown for SEA Prime, part of the SEA group that together with the Milano Prime brand manages the Milano Linate and Malpensa Airports. The new Business & General Aviation Terminal of Milano Malpensa International Airport, is opening in July 2019. “Milano Prime’s two terminals are perfectly complementary services: Linate benefits from its close proximity of only 7km to the heart of the city, and Malpensa completes the accessibility not only to the city of Milano, but also to Lombardy, to Piedmont, to southern Switzerland, as well as to lakes, ski resorts, and a total of 18 UNESCO sites,” said Chiara Dorigotti, CEO of SEA Prime.
The new Milano Prime Terminal at Malpensa, with its own apron of about 50,000 sqm in addition to a 5,000 sqm hangar, is ready for the latest generation of executive jets, located in a dedicated area of the airport between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. “We wanted a structure that would be recognizable both from the sky and from the ground,” Dorigotti continues. Thus the idea of a polyhedron was born, developed over a surface of approximately 1,400 sqm: a ‘gem’ that stands out from the surrounding territory thanks to its iconic
form and unique finishing and colors.” Materials and colors were chosen to amplify the natural brightness of the environments, making them even more comfortable and welcoming. Passengers can easily reach their aircraft going though dedicated security checks thanks to a glass wall with sliding doors that leads from the lobby to the security checkpoint. Five lounges offer passengers and crew customized ultra luxury services, to ensure total relaxation and the utmost comfort before flight departure.
The new Milan Prime Business & General Aviation Terminal at Malpensa opens in time for the closure of Linate airport, for the refurbishment works on the runway and commercial aviation terminal from July 27 to October 26. It will allow SEA Prime to accommodate all its clients, as well as to consolidate its leadership position in Italy and Europe, where the Milano-based company currently ranks fifth.
