In computer language, SPX is a system that facilitates communication between workstations, helping to send and receive data. We therefore highlight the inclination for “sharing.” SPX Lab is a Made in Italy digital communication laboratory, where synergy between creative talent, designers, and computer scientists lead to experimenting with “human” technology that responds to an innovative methodology of “knowing how to share.” Technology finds its own natural position responding to precise needs; it therefore takes on a “human face.” The natural context where “human technology information” can be applied is in the smart furniture market, or the radical transformation of interior design: experimenting with intelligent technology, sharing that knowledge, communicating the opportunities it offers. All these challenges are what smart technology is committed to solving nowadays, speculating their incorporation into daily experiences in public or private spaces.

SPX Lab has made these same challenges their own, and added even more: making smart technology “usable,” designing new forms of smart experiences. The smart user experience is customized and adapted to a specific target audience; it is a trivalent experiment – able to innovate, satisfy a need, and solve a problem. Its usability is accompanied by respect for the canons of beauty, expressed in objects from the worlds of luxury and design where this technology is directed towards.

Take the elegant form of Mirò, a magic mirror and authentic jewel with innovative design, a digital evolution of the traditional mirror, a vehicle of art. Or consider the versatility of Ta.Bi, an intelligent table able to recognize objects lying on its surface, such as Auleum “enfant prodige” of Italian luxury food, an edible 23K gold oil that combines taste and refinement with respect and praise for products Made in Italy.

Experiencing the present by tracing a path towards a people-oriented future, to all appearances smart, but indeed full of potential, demonstrating both digital and luxury to those who look at it. It marks a new purpose for the sector: to adopt a Digital Thinking approach, becoming receptive to various forms and methods to understand digital communication.
